Shoe Specific Provisions
We take great care and pride in the design and craftsmanship of all our products. We use only the best raw materials and the highest international manufacturing standards. All FJ 1857 shoes are warranted to be free of materials or workmanship defects for 1 year from the original purchase date.
Repairs inside of warranty period
Shoes found to be defective will be repaired or replaced with the same style or an equivalent FootJoy shoe at FootJoy's sole discretion. In the unlikely event that one of your FJ 1857 shoes does not match up to our standards, we may take corrective action in FootJoy’s sole discretion.
Repairs outside of warranty period
For FJ 1857 product repairs outside of the one year warranty, the repair cost plus shipping may be charged. If your FJ 1857 golf shoes need repair or refurbishment after the warranty period, or if you desire orthopedic services or modification of your shoes in any way, please contact our Consumer / Warranty line (800) 224-8501.
CONSUMER CLAIMS PROCEDURE
The shoes, together with the original sales slip showing the purchase date and a statement of the claimed defect including the style and size of the returned product, must be promptly returned to an authorized FootJoy shoe dealer, preferably from where they were originally purchased. Warranty claims presented without the original sales slip will be honored at FootJoy’s sole discretion. FOOTJOY WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL OR OTHER DAMAGES ARISING FROM THE USE OF THIS PRODUCT, OR ANY DELAY IN THE PERFORMANCE OF THIS WARRANTY DUE TO CAUSES BEYOND FOOTJOY’S CONTROL. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THIS EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. THIS WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS AND YOU MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER RIGHTS WHICH VARY FROM STATE TO STATE.
What is Not Covered
Even though the applicable warranty period may not have expired, certain conditions may invalidate FootJoy warranty coverage. By way of example but not all inclusive, FootJoy will not issue replacement product or credit for returned shoes that have experienced:
• Frayed webbing, worn stitching and worn soles
due to normal wear.
• Damage that is a result from misuse, normal wear and tear or damage occurred during storage.
• Excessive wear.
• Improper fit. Fit is the responsibility of the owner and should be assured prior to purchasing the product.
• Any footwear which is more than 2 years after the manufacturing date.
• Damage caused by lack of proper maintenance.
